Mount Batukaru (2275m)
It has beautiful landscapes, forest, rice terraces of sight, small villages where life flows as formerly. Its name means the rock in the form of coconut. As the second highest mountain of Bali, it has a rich culture and worship which each temple has a shrine that is dedicated to the spirit of the mountain. And on the lower slopes of the holy mountain itself stands Pura Luhur Batukau, Bali's directional temple for the west and the focus of many pilgrimages. Southwest of Pura Luhur, the superior soil provides some of the most productive agricultural land on the island. The rice terraces around Jatiluwih are particularly scenic.

Pura Luhur Batukaru usually silent except for its resident of cicadas and frogs. Have become a holy site in the eleventh century and was later consecrated by the King of Tabanan who made it into their state temple and dedicated shrines here to their ancestral Gods. In 1604, the rival King of Buleleng razed the shrines and although devotees continued to worship at the ruins, the temple was not fully renovated until 1959. Meru standing inside the inner sanctuary still represent a particularly ancestor of the Tabanan royal family. The most important shrine though is the unusual seven tiered pagoda, which is dedicated to Mahadewa, the God of Gunung Batukaru. Pura Luhur Batukaru continues to play a very important role in the lives of Balinese Hindus. Members of local agriculture groups come here to draw holy water from the pond for use in agricultural ceremonies and at the annual Galungan festivities truckloads of devotees travel long distances to pay their respects and lay their offerings.

Pura Luhur Batukau

Munduk Traditional Village
It has a cool misty ambiance set among lush hill sides covered with jungle, rice, fruit trees and pretty much anything else that grows on the island. Clove plantations are everywhere. There are several pristine waterfalls, and charming. But it did not lose its beauty with the gitgit waterfalls are more famous. Besides the natural beauty of the waterfalls, traditional villages, rice fields and trekking to unbeaten tracks. Munduk is perfect for doing Yoga exercise with a high level of poise in corners of the village.

Menjangan Island
The most spectacular coral reefs in Bali. Most visitors come here for the best snorkelling spot on Bali and divers place it high on the list, too. As the island comes under the jurisdiction of the national park, you have to go with a guide, so the entrance ticket, boat and guide are the one.

The clear, shallow water is protected from excessive winds and strong currents by the Prapat Agung Peninsula and its reefs form a band 100 m to 150 m around the coastline, offering seven different dive sites, with drop offs of 40 m to 60 m, first class wall dives and superb visibility ranging from 15 m to 50 m.

Head up the steps on the eastern edge of the beach to reach a small shrine, which is close by a freshwater spring. Brahmans from the mainland make pilgrimages here in search o f medicinal herbs that grow in the area between the shrine and the spring.

Menjangan

Pemuteran

The little fishing village of Pemuteran, 28 km east of Cekik. A good place to base for diving and snorkelling (both nearby and at Menjangan Island) also the small cluster of lovely. Hotels here make a conscious effort not to upset the village ambiance. Snorkel in the safe, calm waters off the tree shaded black sand beach and outings to the national park.

Some of the Pemuteran reefs have suffered considerable damage over the last decade, ascribed to a similar combination of bad practices by local fisherman and unavoidable environment factors. In an attempt to try and do something about this, local hotels and dive operators have set up a very successful coral growing experiment, the award winning Karang Lestari Pemuteran Project. Using the pioneering "Biorock" process of electrical mineral accretion, this involves encouraging new growth by continuously passing a low electrical current through the stony coral, causing minerals to build up at about four times the normal speed.

There are a number of most interesting reefs within boat ride of the Pemuteran shore, where divers and snorkelers can expect to encounter a huge variety of reef fish, including bright blue dancers, black and white striped damsel fish, and shoals of silver fusiliers, as well as snappers mapped out the most rewarding areas, with Napoleon (5 m) and Tunkad (3 m) best for snorkelers but also good for deep divers.

As a real beach gateway, enjoy the sensation of comfort and lifestyle.
